I am OBSESSED with Guacamole! I keep the ingredients around and make it every other day or so. It is best with Tostitos chips with a hint of lime (in my opinion) ha!

I don't have a specific recipe because I'm not good about measuring (which is why I don't bake) - but since everyone has been asking me - this is how I make it.

Roma tomatos
One onion
Fresh cilantro
Jalepenos (optional)

I just slice up maybe one or two tomatos and maybe a half or less of an onion. Add several dashes of cilantro and salt. (just taste). If you like it hot - cut up a jalepeno - I prefer no!
Use one or two avacoados (usually one per person) and smash it up and mix all ingredients together. I usually squeeze 2 limes on this because I like mine with a lot of lime taste! Just add more or less of the ingredients you like.

Canned diced (I prefer petite diced) tomatoes are great in a pinch. And if you have garlic powder and cilantro on hand, you can make up a tasty little salsa with the rest of the tomatoes that don't go in the guacamole. (Just use the tomatoes, chopped onion, chopped cilantro - not too much - garlic powder, salt and pepper.) Yum!

Add a little fresh garlic and olive oil for taste and a superb texture! YUMMY YUM!

I meant to tell you...

You and Scott should try making it with some softened cream cheese. It just adds a little something extra that makes it that much creamier!!! I've been doing that with my last couple of batches and it's totally YUMM-O!!! :) Just in case you get a desire to try that way, as well!!

My husband makes great guacamole, and his recipe is almost the same as yours. He adds a chopped chipotle pepper or two, and people really like the smokiness.

I like to use seasoning salt instead of the regular salt, and either garlic powder or fresh garlic, depending on what's on hand.

Aside from that, your "recipe" and mine are the same!

I add a little sour cream to mine. It's always interesting to see how different people make it. Guacamole is definitely one of my favorites!

add garlic salt...mmmm...it tastes so good! Emma and I ate a big plate of it Sunday night. She loves it just as much as me!

I do it the exact same way but I prefer lemons to limes, try it! Yep, very addicting, I prefer when its first made, not as good after it sets in the fridge so usually eat it all up the first day/nite! :-)

I make a Guacamole dip:

mix 1 pack cream cheese with a tub avocado dip (it's in the frozen food snacks at my store)
spread in a 9x13 casserole dish.

top with 3-4 green onions, 3 roma tomatoes and 1 green pepper (all diced)
pour one small jar of taco sauce over it and top with cheddar cheese

This is our latest addiction.

My recipe is very similar but I don't get too fancy.

Avocados (I use 5 but I normally have a bunch of soldier eating everything!)
Limes (3)
Pico de Gallo (the big jar you get at sam's)
Garlic Salt (to taste)

Mush avocados. Squeeze limes. Add Pico, Sprinkle Garlic salt to taste.

And a little trick from Texas, if you leave the Avocado pit in the guac it should keep it from turning that yucky brown color as quickly.

And mix!

My secrect ingredient:
Try adding some Goya "Adobo" seasoning, found in the ethnic aisle at the grocery store. it adds a lot of Mexican flavor!

All I put in my guac is avocadoes, tomatoes, garlic, red wine vinegar. The vinegar makes it super yummy. I don't measure either.
